At Center for Child Development, we are continually striving to provide compassionate care and advanced treatment to children with developmental and behavioral conditions. Part of this includes getting involved and educating our community about the importance and understanding of how to treat children with behavioral and developmental issues. We do this by working closely with schools, preschools and other agencies to help parents and individuals in the community obtain a better understanding of developmental care and education. On September 27th, our Education Advocacy Series starts off the new school year with Back to School Basics. This free session will cover need-to-know information about your child’s school-based progress monitoring, what kind of testing and information is being collected at this time, how to prepare for your child’s upcoming parent-teacher conference, 504c or IEP meeting, as well as who to contact if you suspect your child is struggling in school.
The Center for Child Development has added a clinical coordinator to our staff to further meet the needs of our patients and their care providers. Her name is Maricruz Avalos. She will supervise the transition of our patients from check-in to departure, ensuring that all needs are met efficiently and with ease.
Recently, the providers and staff of the Center for Child Development moved into their newly renovated space. Although still located in Suite 310 at the 615 E. Princeton St. location, patients and their families will enjoy our more spacious and contemporary accommodations. The finishing touches are almost completed, and we look forward to making our patients’ appointments at the center appealing, comfortable and efficient.
